With 25 years of experience, he has seen it all but stays relaxed with long walks and a passion for upcycling discarded wooden pallets. Andy is based in Papaioea (Palmerston North)
Delphine David
Head of Partnerships
Passionate about sustainability, Delphine partners with corporate energy users for impactful renewable energy procurement and help them successfully navigate the market. Delphine set off on a world tour in 2001. She fell in love with Aotearoa and extended her stay from 2 weeks to more than 20 years! Delphine is based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).
Laura Ferrier
Senior Market & Operations Specialist
Laura is a dedicated member of the operations' team. With 10-year experience in the C&I electricity sector, she is focused on running and developing the NZECS' operational processes. In her spare time, you'll generally find Laura in the kitchen cooking up a storm. Laura is based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington).
Shaun Goldsbury
CEO
Supporter of the NZECS since its inception, Shaun's role is to be responsible for the major business decisions and overall strategic direction for our company. With 15 years of experience in the energy industry, Shaun brings a wealth of expertise on electricity, gas, coal, LPG and carbon markets. He is a subject matter expert in energy trading, portfolio management and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). Born and raised in Gisborne, Shaun is of Ngāti Porou and Te Aitanga-ā-Hauiti descent. Shaun is based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).
Dr Emily Laing
Head of Strategy
Emily ensures the ongoing alignment of our mission, vision and goals to its current operations through strengthening strategic relationships and reviewing the progress of initiatives across the business. She also manages marketing and communications for BraveTrace. Emily is happiest in the mountains and is currently studying te reo Māori at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. Emily is based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington)..
Tim Middlehurst
Executive Director
Certified Energy was founded in 2018 by Tim Middlehurst, an energy industry professional with expertise in certification and systems development from around the world. As Executive Director, Tim shapes the company’s trajectory ensuring the NZECS remains ahead of market developments. Tim is passionate about outdoors, self-reliance on land and clean natural resources. With a deep appreciation for the world's natural beauty, Tim leads by example for both the environment and future generations. Tim is based in Papaioea (Palmerston North).
Tim Street
General Manager
Tim Street leads and develops the operations' team, responsible for overseeing the pivotal functions of the New Zealand Energy Certificate System. In his free time, Tim likes to potter in his vege garden, potter in his tool shed, in short, anything that involves pottering! Tim is based in Te Whanganui-a-tara (Wellington).
